Happy 37th Anniversary
Was there for both of these shows, flying very high on this first night. Remember this as a super hot show and we danced like fools! Must say that during Black Queen and Iko I was very confused, so just listened to the music play! Can’t believe that 37 years has gone by LIKE THAT, was so lucky to have seen this and so many other great shows.

What he said (re: 1st set correction)
Si, es verdad....err, I mean yes, it's true that the first set is about a 1/2 step (
i.e. 1 fast). LLR is in F, West LA is in Bb, etc. Kind of annoying. Charlie does great work, but somebody should probably hip him to checking the key of a few tunes against a tuner to dial it in. Ninety something percent of the work I hear from Charlie is flawless, however this is one check that he's missed on a couple tapes somehow (I've noticed it on two other shows; if you want you can do pitch correction in a wave editing software and repost!!) 4 Stars; would be 5 if not for the fast first set.

First Show
I, of course, remember this fondly. Not the best show I ever saw, but at the time what did I know. One thing I'll note is that the first set seems a little fast. Now, I'm sure their playing was fast as it often was in this era, but the pitch is off. I can't imagine they weren't at concert pitch in the first set, but were in the second.

Very nice. A sweet remaster by Charlie too. I haven't heard much of '83 other than the handful of shows I attended but if this is an example I'll be back for more.

Smokin' in the Jersey Swamps
I don't like to give out five stars willy nilly. This one gets all five. Great sound, great performance. Set list looks like a strange hodge podge, but it works. The boys played really hard and fast - uptempo versions of some old tunes. "Touch" maybe a bit too fast. A lot of energy and fast jams. Stephen Stills adds some more spice towards the end. I am very glad that I stumbled upon this show!

Black Queen
Sound Quality 4.5 ; Show Quality 5.0...rounded up to 5.0. One of only 2 times Black Queen was played by the Dead. Nice energy on this night.

Was a great show
This was by far the best Dead show I had ever been to and I like many have been to alot. Power house rockin tunes from the get go! First time I heard them do truckin live!!Stephen Stills was an added bonus when he came out for Iko Iko. The next night was a complete opposite. Was like 2 hours of Black Peter. It sounded like they were as hungover as I was.. Stills did "If" you can't be with the one you love" the second night and that was cool.
